This toolkit is a result of a collaboration between Viva, Food for the Hungry, Transform Aid International and World Relief. It seeks to bring together the wealth of tools and resources available to help you go through the process of finding out more about the situation of children where you’re working, how to decide how to respond, and provides links to the best tools available to help you deliver these programmes, as well as stories from people who’ve already tried it.
These tools and guidelines have been developed in line with the Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action developed by the Child Protection Working Group.
We hope that this toolkit will be an ongoing collaboration between organisations and communities working with children in emergencies. Please get in touch to share your thoughts and let us know about any other programmes or projects you’ve been involved with for child protection, education and psychosocial support in emergencies.
